This beautifull tree is known as ´Dansebøgen´ in the little town where I live. The special beauty of it however, is caused by a genetic disorder, that makes the tree unable to control own growth. In danish it is called Vrangebøg, and translated I guess it is something like disorderd beech.
Anyway, to me this tree is among the most beautifull in the world.
I have given this tree its own page on my blog with more pictures: http://alicesoesser.blogspot.dk/p/skoven.html

SvarSletWhat an amazing tree. I have only seen one similar in the crooks and curls and that was in a Japanese garden in Richmond, VA. It is beautiful and your capture wonderful. genie

SvarSletUtrolig vakkert dette treet! Lekkert i svarthvitt! Og det var virkelig flott å se treet i de ulike årstidene!

What a beautiful tree, caught in the act of dancing. So different from those around. Your photo is full of delightful symbolism.
SvarSletEt meget vakkert bilde. Jeg får assosiasjoner til dans. Ha det godt! Hilsen Anne
